Vivo speaker cleaner: remove water and dust

Vivo phones don't include a sound-based speaker cleaner, so the fastest fix is Speaker Cleaner in Chrome: media volume to maximum, bottom edge facing down, one to three 30-second runs. Vivo's Y and T series often have a single bottom speaker, so clean that first.

Run Speaker Cleaner

Where the speakers are on Vivo phones

Hold the phone so the speaker you're cleaning faces the floor.

  • Main speaker: the grille on the bottom edge, beside the charging port.
  • Earpiece: the slot above the display, which doubles as a second speaker on stereo models.
  • Budget Y-series models commonly use a single bottom speaker.

Vivo phones have no documented built-in speaker cleaning feature, so a browser-based cleaner is the practical option. Media volume, not ringtone volume, controls the cleaning sound, and any audio effect in Settings › Sound & vibration can reduce the low frequencies the sweep relies on.

Clean your Vivo speaker in 4 steps

  1. Open Speaker CleanerIn Chrome or your phone's own browser. Disconnect earbuds.
  2. Volume to maximumMedia volume, not ringtone volume.
  3. Speaker facing downBottom edge down for the main speaker.
  4. Press StartPlay up to three 30-second runs.

To clean a Vivo phone speaker, open Speaker Cleaner in the browser, turn media volume to maximum, hold the phone with the bottom speaker facing down and play one to three 30-second runs. The 150 to 200 Hz sweep pushes water and loose dust out of the grille without any app.

Vivo's Y and T series often use a single bottom speaker, so the bottom grille is the one to clean first on those models. Stereo Vivo phones also play the sweep through the earpiece above the screen. The same steps work on every Vivo model, including the Vivo Y39 and Vivo T2x 5G.

If the sound doesn't come back

Let the phone air-dry for 24 hours, then test again. If it still crackles or stays silent, book a check at an authorised service centre: vivo India service centre locator. See also speaker cleaner for other phones.
