Oppo speaker cleaner: remove water and dust

Oppo phones on ColorOS don't list an official speaker cleaning sound, so use Speaker Cleaner in the browser: media volume to maximum, bottom edge facing down, one to three 30-second runs. If it's still muffled after drying for 24 hours, book a check with Oppo service.

Where the speakers are on Oppo phones

Hold the phone so the speaker you're cleaning faces the floor.

  • Main speaker: the grille on the bottom edge.
  • Earpiece: the slot above the display; stereo models use it for media too.
  • Several A-series models have one bottom speaker.

ColorOS does not document a built-in speaker cleaning sound, so Oppo phones use a browser-based cleaner. Set media volume to maximum, disconnect Bluetooth earbuds, and turn off audio effects in Settings › Sound & vibration before running the sweep.

Clean your Oppo speaker in 4 steps

  4. Press StartPlay up to three 30-second runs.

To clean a Oppo phone speaker, open Speaker Cleaner in the browser, turn media volume to maximum, hold the phone with the bottom speaker facing down and play one to three 30-second runs. The 150 to 200 Hz sweep pushes water and loose dust out of the grille without any app.

An Oppo speaker that remains muffled after three runs and 24 hours of drying should be checked by an authorised service centre. Oppo India handles service-centre appointments through its support site.

If the sound doesn't come back

Let the phone air-dry for 24 hours, then test again. If it still crackles or stays silent, book a check at an authorised service centre: OPPO India service centre inquiry. See also speaker cleaner for other phones.
