Speaker Cleaner for your phone brand
Speaker Cleaner works on any phone with a working speaker and a modern browser, because it only plays sound. What changes between brands is where the speakers are, whether the phone has its own cleaning feature, and which sound settings can limit bass. Pick your phone below.
Speaker Cleaner runs in Chrome, Safari and Samsung Internet without installation, so it works on every phone brand sold in India. Only the settings that can limit bass, such as Dolby Atmos on Samsung, differ between manufacturers.
Choose your phone
Xiaomi is the only major brand that ships a sound-based speaker cleaner: Clear speaker, under Settings › Additional settings on MIUI, plays a 30-second cleaning sound. Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Google Pixel and Apple phones provide no equivalent feature, so those phones use a browser-based speaker cleaner instead.
Speaker placement is consistent across brands: the main speaker sits on the bottom edge beside the charging port, and the earpiece sits above the screen, doubling as the second stereo speaker on most mid-range and flagship phones. Budget models often have a single bottom speaker.
Every page on SpeakerCleaner Live uses the same cleaning sound, so switching phone brands changes nothing about the method. Hold the phone with the affected speaker facing down, set media volume to maximum, and play one to three 30-second runs.
What differs between brands
Only Xiaomi phones ship a sound-based speaker cleaner; everyone else can use Speaker Cleaner in the browser.

Which speaker is muffled?
Every brand uses the same two positions, so the hold is the same on every phone.
| What sounds wrong | Speaker | How to hold it | Mode |
|---|---|---|---|
| Music, videos, ringtone, speakerphone | Main speaker, bottom edge | Bottom edge facing down | Water or Dust |
| The other person's voice on a normal call | Earpiece, above the screen | Top edge facing down | Earpiece |
| Only one side in stereo playback | Usually the earpiece | Top edge facing down | Earpiece |
| Nothing at all from any speaker | Not a cleaning problem yet | Check volume and Bluetooth | Speaker test |
To find which phone speaker needs cleaning, play something and listen. Muffled music or ringtones point to the main speaker on the bottom edge. A muffled voice on a normal call points to the earpiece above the screen, which needs the phone held top edge down and Earpiece mode.
Settings that can make a clean speaker sound muffled
Before you clean anything, rule out the settings. A connected Bluetooth device takes over the audio, so the phone's own speaker stays quiet. Sound processing, such as Dolby Atmos on Samsung and OnePlus or Adaptive Sound on Pixel, can change how much low-frequency sound reaches the speaker, so switch it off for the cleaning run and back on afterwards. And check that you're turning up media volume, not ringtone volume.
Earbuds have the same problem in a smaller space. If your AirPods or other earbuds sound muffled, see the AirPods speaker cleaner guide for the safe way to clear them.
Speaker Cleaner works the same way on Vivo, Samsung, Redmi, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Pixel and iPhone because it only plays a 150 to 200 Hz sound through the phone's own speaker. Hold the phone speaker-down at full volume. The only brand differences are speaker placement and audio settings such as Dolby Atmos that can reduce bass.
